Strength training..making reps on some lifts and not others

Hi guys, just looking for some advice on people's training methods regarding this...I find I can lift the same weight up to the same repetition on compound lifts such as bench press, deadlift and my squats but then when it comes to other lifts I incorporate such as barbell curls/overhead press I can't lift that weight for the same amount of repetition..

Just asking for advice regarding training, if i'm ready to up the weight for the squats/deadlift should i up it for the barbell curl too and just do a lower rep for that one.

your ohp/curls/etc... will always be at a lower weight than the big 3 compound movements. smaller more isolated muscles are being used. i wouldnt worry too much about taking the weight up on them near as quick as the big 3.

I will note here though.... the ohp has a direct correlation to the bb bench press. a stronger ohp will help to create a stronger bench press.

I would decrease the weight, so I could do the full set. There is no rule you have to do all lifts with the same weight. It is normal to lift higher weights when using larger muscles.

Thanks for the replies, was thinking this because the compound exercises as using more muscles...will keep the weights lower for the isolated ones for now and focus on form.
