Starting off...

Hi,

I'd like to introduce myself and tell you a little about my story. I'm 5'3 and a little overweight so have intermittently spent the last couple of years trying to slim down a little, with some success, but have never actually reached the 'goal'. This time I'm determined to get there, by cutting down my food intake a little (reducing the sugar mainly) and getting into a fitness regime. The old fashioned, healthy way. I'm looking to have a general healthier outlook on life rather than diet for a few months and then put it all back on. So no foods are off limits, but I do want to be more mindful of what I'm eating and why!

I work very long hours and have allowed that to be an excuse for not eating properly and exercising, but from now on I'm ready to prioritize my health over my work.

I'd like to lose 22lbs (or thereabouts - not too worried of the scale stays higher but the body changes shape) and fit comfortably into clothes 1/2 sizes smaller.
