Wrist activity tracker/Heart rate monitor

I'm looking for an activity tracker that I can wear my wrist all the time.
I like the biometric sensors on the Basis and carbon steel edition looks slick, but the reviews are limed since it hasn't been out long.
Is anyone using the Basis or any other wrist worn activity tracker?

If so:
What are you using?
How well does the syncing work?
Is it comfortable to wear?
Have you had issues with it coming off?

What's your favorite thing about it?
What would you change/add if you could?
What (if anything) just didn't work well for you?

Thanks for sharing

I have both a Jawbone UP & a Fitbit Flex. I love them both, but Fitbit has had problems syncing w/ MFP since Christmas. And they recently recalled the Fitbit Force.

The endless snow has seriously impacted my step count, but the rest of the year they really get me moving.
  • I'm looking to get one too and have my eye on this one with a release date in April.

Thanks for the feedback. Are there any other devices with a heart rate monitor built in?
  • I am also interested in purchasing one but am looking for one to help tell me how many calories I'm burning. I've read a lot of reviews that said the step counts can be rather inaccurate, is there one that's better than others and takes in how fast you're moving/heart rate into the calories burned equation?

Both UP & Fitbit calculate your TDEE. If you eat at a deficit, you will lose weight. I don't sweat the step accuracy. I just try to get more steps today than I did yesterday or last week.

I have a Reebok dual heart rate monitor. It has a watch and optional chest band. It allows you to program in your gender, year of birth, height and weight. It not only tracks heart rate but can track calories burned as well. I tested it today on the treadmill. (just the watch) The treadmill allowed me to program only weight. I burned 317 calories according to the treadmill, and 350 calories according to my monitor. This does not include my cool down. I do wish it were a bit more intuitive. Had to really study the manual to figure it out. It does double as a watch with date and time. It is technically a "mens" but that just means it has a bigger screen and I can read the numbers more easily.

The Garmin Vivofit is another alternative. Here's a quicky comparison revue of the Force, Vivofit, UP and Fuel Band.
