Carb:Protein:Fat and Fat break down - low fat diet

I have discovered the weakness in my diet is my fat intake, so I would like to balance that - and really look at my protein:Carb:fat chart and am going for 40:40:20 but would also like to focus on the TYPE of fats I am eating as well. Is there anyone who can provide insight?
