Hello All!
Well, I'm not exactly new (have had an account for about a year and a half), but I am new in the sense that I have not really used my account since setting it up (just log in here and there to read the boards and I haven't even done that in about a year). So here I am for 2014 determined to actually make use of this account and to make some friends because I need to lose about 100 lbs and start living a healthier life overall.
Currently, I'm 5'7 and weigh 255 which is the biggest I've ever been. I'm tired all the time and, quite frankly, I'm tired of being tired :-)
My goal is to get down to about 165 and to do it in a year so that for my 35th b-day in April of next year, I'll be fit and fabulous. To get started, I've joined a local gym which had an excellent deal going of $15.00/mth with a year's contract and which includes in the price of $15.00 weekly hour long sessions of Tabata, Yoga, Body Blast, Zumba and Kickboxing. For an extra $20.00/session (or $120.00/mth), there's also an hour long bootcamp held on Tues & Thurs. All in all, I'm very excited about this gym!
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself & to make some friends. Just from knowing myself, lots of support and encouragement will be needed because sometimes I'm way too tempted to do what 25 year old me did to lose 35 lbs in a month which was to drink a Pepsi everyday and to only eat Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies and I know now how extremely unhealthy that is. I know that from the time 27 year old me lost 25 lbs over the course of several months through a combination of personal training and eating right. At 27, I looked the best I've ever looked and felt the best I've ever felt and am still sad to this day that I didn't keep it up.
Oh, well, that's what I'm here for now.
