Hello, I used myfitnesspal more than 2 years ago, although, I wasn't diligent like I should have been. Then, at 50 years old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammo. That took up all my time and energy. I am happy to say that I am cancer free for 2 years now, after a lumpectomy and radiation. Although, I still have the same 40-50#'s to lose that I have been carrying around for the last 16 years.
I was in great shape all of my life and through my 20's and 30's. Ate very healthy and exercised (cardiac/weight lifting) 6 days a week. I was actually even an aerobics instructor back in the day! When my grandmother passed away, suddenly, in 1998, I filled that hole with food and stopped exercising. I am an emotional eater. I have very little discipline, motivation and self control.
I am ready to change!! Especially due to being overweight, and not exercising, is a precursor for breast cancer, per my surgeon.
I am hoping to really stick with it this time. I would love to have any encouragement and advise, that anyone has to offer. Especially, if you are in the same boat as me. We can encourage each other and be accountable! Wish me luck and discipline!!
