Weighing food

Hi all I am new, just wanting to become more fit and tone up a bit.
I was just wondering when adding food to my diary do I add the amount it says on the packaging for per serving or does everyone weigh their out portions? Example grated cheese on the packet says 25g per serving.

You weight what you eat and calculate your calories / macros based on the serving size X weight of what you ate.0

Always weigh your food - what you perceive 25g of cheese to be, may in fact be a gross over/under estimation. Safest and best way to monitor intake it to weigh and log everything0

of course because the other measurment is 1/4 cup...I can fit a lot of cheese in 1/4 cup.
It doesn't say packed, loose etc so it's hard to say.
Only thing I use cups for is liquids like milk, juice etc.0 -
There's a LOT of different entries in the database. I weigh everything by the gram, and then make sure my entry in MFP matches what this database on another website says http://nutritiondata.self.com/
I eat a lot of the same things from week to week. So once I find a "good" entry (or have made my own good/accurate entry based on the website I linked above) I tend to copy that one into the next day's entries. Just so I'm sure I'm getting the right data.0 -
I've only been on MFP for ~1 week and I've already decided to get a food scale. It makes everything a lot easier and there is no guessing. Got mine for $20 and it does up to 11 pounds in ounces or grams.0

Just use the serving in grams. Weigh everything... even packaged foods that have a serving of 1 slice or whatnot... it's always off.
25g for a serving of cheese is weird though... Typically it's 28g here.0 -

weigh everything using a digital scale. That is so far the most accurate method. I even weigh liquids.0 -

If you don't weigh your food how are you supposed to know how much you are eating?
