How many calories to put in AFTER WORKOUT

My fitness pal asks, "How would you describe your normal daily activities?" It seems like it goes by "Job Function."
"Technically", I have a desk job. So I put Sedetary this time. I used to put "very active" but it still said stuff like "bike messenger, carpenter ect..." but that is still referring to your "job" not your actual "fitness excersize" but I may be just be thinking this to hard.
However I'm pretty sure the activities also include how often you work out... but then again the next question is .. "How many times a week do you plan on excersizing?"
I have been here longer then a year, and I am still confused by this.
Here is the reason why. I do not know what kind of activity MyFitnessPal records. But I do the INSANITY workout. However, even though I do this workout, I have not done it in a while. It's been 6 months since I did insanity because of cold winter months and our house not haveing much heat in it. Sounds crazy but I tried to do it when it was cool but not freezing and I got sick 2 days later. So I literally HAD to wait until it warmed up. Moving on....
I lost 15 pounds doing insanity, but I feel like I could have lost more if I had a better diet. I have a lot of medical issues, that make it "EXTREMELY" hard for me to lose weight, but this year, I am going to do my hardest not to blame it "ALL" on that. I KNOW I can do better, I am just trying to figure out how.
INSANITY claims to burn "up to" 1000 calories a day. Grant it I knew when I bought INSANITY that I may not burn 1000 calories a day on my first go round, or on my second.... or that is what I thought.
I am sorry if I am rambling, but I for some reason feel these details are important, so please bere with me.
Anyways. I bought a heart rate moniter, entered all my weight, hight, age, and sex, to see how many calories I burn.
Month 1 Insanity burned somewhere around 850 calories.
Month 2 Insanity burned 1250 calories. (This is only 100 calories less then my goal)
Like I said I am not sure how "intense" My Fitness Pal is when they mean "Very active" But I have searched and the "Insanity" workouts are not in the "myfitnesspal" system. So I do not know HOW to control my calorie intake by doing insanity.
My Goal calorie intake of 1350 a day is reccomended by MyFitnessPal. But I have heard many people say I need to actually eat more to be healthy and continue lose weight...
Which I do not understand how eating "more" will help me LOSE weight either.
So has anyone one here done INSANITY. Is anyone familiar with the workouts and can give feedback?
(I can not afford to be a "Beach Body Member" so please do not ask me to go to that website...they say its' free, but if you want all the benifits you have to pay for it...)
If I do burn 850 calories a day, How many calories do I need to replenish and still lose weight??
If I burn 1250 calories a day, how many do I need to replenish?
Please help!!
Please do not ridicule me for asking this question. I have asked questions before on here, and got several "smart elic" remarks that I do not appreciate.

If you are usng your HRM you can just manually put these calories into the cardio section as exercise.
The activity setting is for job and home. So if you have a desk job but do the housework and cooking too I would say lightly active is for you.
The "How many times a week do you plan on excersizing?" question has nothing to do with your calorie goal it's just for motivation.
You put in the exercise you are doing, and eat back the calories from exercise!!
So when mfp gives you 1350 calories to eat it already has the 1lb or 2lb you said you want to lose build in. So without exercise you will lose the amount you said when eating 1350 calories.
If you then go round burning 1250 a day, you have to eat those calories as well!
meaning 1350 (dalily activity) + 1250 (Insanity) = 2600 (total calories to eat in order to lose the amount you said you want to lose)
eating back exercise calories is really important in order to sustain your efforts and the muscle mass you have!
