Weight Training Vs P90X

I started my program in December lifting three times a week (full Body) and watching what I was eating. Once I started logging on MFP I kept with the weight training and added an elliptical into my routine. 30 min a day 4-5 days a week. While I was losing slightly, I felt like there was some being left behind. Also, it was getting too "routine" for lack of a better term. Now I am thinking of putting in p90x instead of weight training, and still keep the elliptical in my routine but cut it down to 3-4 days @ 30 minutes. I have tried p90x before but I was about 20lbs heavier and more out of shape. Any thoughts on this?
