Need motivation! On for a year and had lost 20 but gained

Coming up on 1 year this week. Feeling kind of down about it, I have basically lost nothing. I had lost 20 lbs and gained it all back :(. Keep trying to tell myself this is a lifestyle change not some sort of timed race. I am happy with the changes in this past year I have done 2 5ks, and cook a lot more instead of the drive-thru. I do have one huge goal for this year, I plan on doing a 5k and a 10k even this year. I have also just booked a cruise for December so lots of motivation to get there and not look like a whale on the ship. Sorry for being so long. Looking for motivation and any tips and suggestions!

    Same here. I had lost 15 lbs during in my stay here in MFP back in 2011 but gained everything after I gave birth. It's actually my fault. I'm taking care of our baby and everytime I feel tired I always tend to eat. Today is my official "come-back" in MFP.

    I think we can do it again since we already experienced how to lose weight :-) Maybe we just need to focus on our new goals & work hard for it. We will need a lot of discipline & sacrifices so let's be ready for it! :-)

    Hi, I spent six months last year losing 25 lbs and have gained back 15 lbs. I stopped keeping track of my calorie intake and stopped excercising(after I had completed a 5k) because life got too busy. But here I am, ready to lose that 15 and 20 more. I have started the C25K program and snowshoeing. My fitness pal worked for me, I think I need to use it long enough to reach my goals and MAINTAIN them. My fitness and health aren't going to get put on the "back burner" in my life anymore!! Who's with me?
