Pre-Workout Supplements

Question regarding pre-workout supplements. What are your recommendations, MFP folks? I train twice a day: 5 am boot camp for an hour, then another hour at the gym after work which includes cardio and weights. I work out six days a week. So what I am looking for is a little extra energy boost as my schedule is pretty intense. But nothing too crazy that would send me bouncing off the walls.

    This really depends on what you are looking for. There are so many pre-workouts out there. some are energy focused, some are muscle pump focused etc.

    It really depends which workout you are taking it before. you could check out bodybuilding.com in the store and search for what you are looking for.

    They all pretty much work because of their caffeine. It will help give you energy at first... but you'll develop a tolerance. You could cycle on/off then, but I don't really think they're worthwhile.

    Cup of coffee with 1/2 & 1/2 and sugar.

    All the NO and Prework out stuff are a money dump.
