Ugh... I feel like I am coming down with something... runny nose, sort of a sore throat, itchy ears.... I mean I feel okay, but not right.

As of now I am planning on boxing tonight like usual but honestly my body is telling me to go home, wash up and get in bed. I have no appetite, just want to get warm and get sleep.

I hate this... I can't figure out if it's really a cold coming on and my body telling me to rest or if it's just in my mind. Also, I am of the firm belief that the times you don't feel like working out are the times you should push yourself to work out because that's usually when a break through happens. I am not sure what to do and the signals are confusing. I don't know if it's a legit cold, my body being worn out or just in my head.

I guess I will just play it by ear. If I get home and I feel okay and/or if I get a second wind I'll box. Worst case I'll feel worse after. Best case, I'll knock it out of my system.

Also, this was supposed to be my rest week. Other than some light cardio and light weights I was going to take a whole week off from training to allow my body to properly heal. So much for that...

Any thoughts on this would be great. Thanks!

Listen to your body - you won't be doing yourself any favours if it is a cold or the flu - and neither will you do your boxing partners any favours if you distribute some of your germs to them! :flowerforyou: Stay home, rest and drink lots of fluids.....

Thank you. All signals point to me going home and getting right in bed that's for sure.

I am just so intense and passionate about working out it's very difficult to know when to take a break. I guess I am afraid that if I skip the class and get in bed it will become a habit, skipping classes, etc. I should learn to give myself a break but my dedication and commitment is strong. But you are right...

Plus if it's a cold or the flu, working out will most likely make it worse and I'll be out for a week vs. just one class.

    Ugh! I hate this.
