I read that smoothies going easy on the fruits and no diary or very litle is great to keep you full. Did anyone tried this?

I made a smoothie today with 8oz almond/coconut milk, 2 cups kale, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1 tbsp chia seed, and a small banana. Very yummy and came in around 330 calories total (I split it with my daughter). Sometimes I add greek yogurt to make them thicker. I almost always throw in kale.
I tend to use them as breakfast/lunch replacements occasionally because I like higher calorie smoothies.0
