I started on 2nd January and was really happy with my progress, I had my head in right space I was exercising daily walking everywhere the only bit I did get wrong was my calories were low.
Then last week I hurt my ankle which turned out to be fractured and torn ligaments so been on crutches I was in a cast for the first week but now been given a brace. still not allowed to exercise and still on crutches. My arms and hands are really hurting from crutches which in turn is making me feel sorry for myself.
( I try doing weights chair exercises crunches but I cant get my heart rate up which is what I want)
I changed my diet down to 0.5lb loss a week and have kept within my calories except for 1 day. I am now finding harder and harder not to just give up I am down and wanting to turn to food.

The simplest answer is that it's hard because we're having to change our habits and habit change is NOT easy. NO ONE finds it easy if that helps at all! Most of us are changing habits we've had ingrained in us since childhood and then we expect our new, healthier habits to take hold in the snap of a finger and it really takes a much longer time than that and includes a HECK of a lot of learning curves, stumbles and all out fails along the way. But it IS doable and it IS worth it! You'll feel worse about yourself if you decide to turn to eating than you will by pushing through this temporary obstacle.
Remember that just because you're physically injured that doesn't mean you need to through nutrition out the window. Your nutrition is KEY to your goals. Until you can get back to working out regularly, focus on your nutrition so you can still results and then when you're back in the game you don't have to start all over again.
You can TOTALLY do this. Thing about the things you CAN control during this time and remember that there was a reason why you decided to make this a goal. Stopping now isn't going to help you get there and will make it even harder to get back at it down the road.
You've GOT this!
