New looking for 40 + success/ food go-to

I eat organic with no artificial sweetners, and try to avoid preservatives. Anyone else out there with a similar diet?

I have lost 16 lbs. looking to lose another 15+ I know losing weight at the 40+ mark can be hard ( looking for some ideas from others in this age range)

Looking for food/meal ideas. Since I have a family with different dietary requests I have learned the one thing I consistently do at dinner is cook and eat double veggies/raw veggies.

I am into some alternative ideas that I have read *may* help with weight loss. And I do yoga, walk, and just began working on strength training.

Looking for other suggestions and hoping to meet some folks!

    Hi there
Well it sounds like you eat better than I do. Our food is 80% of the issues, the other 20% is the fitness/working out.

I personally do home DVD series in the AM. I'm Not a morning person but its all tha works. There's lots of processed foods in my house, thanks to the rest of the family, and dinners can be all over since I won't always eat what my husband will eat, and the kids... ugh... one truly has feeding issue so new foods are always a struggle, but its day by day.

I'm 48. Is it harder do to age?? eh... who knows... it is what it is in my book. Keep on moving and you'll do ok!

  • Hey thanks for replying! I have a child with multiple dietary restrictions as well! That whole cook for the family thing is so hard! Many times I prepare 2 to three different meat/ protein and 3 different veggies/ fruit.

Nice job on the DVDs especially in the morning- I am not a fan of either. :)
