Minor back injury - how long until resuming exercise?

Hi guys, I pulled my lower back last week doing a T25 exercise. It wasn't hurting anymore after a couple days, and I resumed the treadmill portion of my daily workout. After a week, I started the T25 workouts again and the back pain may still be there... Very dull pain, not inhibiting me doing the workout, but still there.

Offhand, short of going to see the doctor, would you guys suggest I stay off the heavier cardio / impact workouts for a while longer? Thanks for any wisdom!

I have years of recurring back pain (arthritis in my back and a previous injury). I would say yes, lay off high impact for a couple of weeks. When I hurt my back I will only do stationary bike, and a lot of stretching. If you don't allow your back to heal before you continue with aggravating it, it will only get worse. It might not hurt you as bad as it did right now and then all of a sudden you won't be able to stand. Let your back heal. It's difficult, but worth the wait in the long run.

Last time I hurt my back I waited 6 weeks before running again. It hurt when I ran so I didn't run again for 2 more weeks, and then I only ran once a week to allow it more time to get better and to ease back into it. I recommend finding workouts that don't aggravate your back until you can do those things without the pain.
