You can do it. I never wanted to give up food. I loved to eat. I ate when I wasn't hungry. I ate because I was bored. I joined MFP and started my lifestyle change on February 2nd of this year. I cut out soda and candy bars and just eat smaller portions. For lunch break I will have an apple or an orange and walk 2 miles instead of watching something on Netflix. I actually look forward to my walks. You have to actually want this. To WANT to lose weight. Do it for yourself. Not just because you want your parents approval. The way I see it, I said when I was 20 that I would diet. I could have been healthy by now. Instead I put it off year after year and here I was my 24th birthday and 364 pounds. After 5 weeks I have lost 21 pounds and I feel great. All I have done is eat less and walk.
