No more broken feet! I'm back! Lets do this!

Hey guys!
'
I have been on & off of MFP for the past 5 years or so. Lost weight, gained weight, lost weight, gained weight...you know the drill. This last year I had gotten into amazing shape. I was going to the gym 5 days a week, riding my bike/skateboarding to work every day & felt and looked great. I felt confident that I was going to get down to my goal weight of 135 before I knew it. Then June rolled around & I broke not just one but both of my feet. I was off of my feet & out of work for a total of 3 months. In that three months I had a lot of drama in my life going on on top of just broken feet & my whole mindset became "Whateva, whateva! I do what I want!" I began drinking pretty heavily and eating pretty crappy food since cooking became pretty difficult for me. As you can imagine, I gained quite a bit of weight. I am 5'2" and am very overweight right now. I was about 155 at the time I broke my feet...about 20 pounds from my goal weight and now I'm up to 178. Yikes!!!

Well long story short...I've been back on my feet and back at work now for a few months but it wasn't until the end of January that my doctor said i could actually start doing any exercise on my feet more than walking. I joined a gym recently and am super excited about getting back into the groove of things! I have a lot of work to do but I am making gradual changes every day! I have no doubt that I am a beautiful woman outside as well as in but I know I will be ten times happier once I start losing the weight & becoming more in shape. Breaking my feet made me really realize what we all take for granted & I am so excited that I have recovered and am able to run!!!

Join me! Lets be friends! Lets do this together!!!

<3 Sam

Welcome back Sam! That's crazy you broke both of your feet at the same time. Glad to hear that you're ready to get back on track and lose that extra weight. Making friends on here is a great way to keep you accountable and motivated. I have sent you a friend request. Anyone feel free to add me!
