Are my Macros correct?

Hi have just recently worked out my macros for weight loss and not sure if the calories are right

My BMR is 1800 and my macros should be making me eat 2000kcal a day

How can I still lose weight if I'm eating 2000 calories a day? Feels like way too much per day.

Thanks :)

    Your macros should =calories .

Usually it is suggested 0.8g to 1.2g protein per pound of lean body mass.
Then it's like 0.3-0.5g of fat( I can't recall the number) per pound of total body mass.
    Carbs round out the total.

If your BMR is 1800 then that is what your body needs to function. Your TDEE is probably something like 2500-3000?
That would be 1 to 2 pounds a week.

How'd you calculate your BMR & TDEE?

It's a good idea to not eat below your BMR the majority of the time. If it happens occasionally no big deal, but don't plan your diet around it.

It's generally a good idea just to eat TDEE -20%.

Your macros may not necessarily equal your amount of total calories if you're drinking alcohol or if foods you're eating have alcohol as an ingredient. Alcohol = 7cal/g.

I would recommend you calculate your EER (estimated energy requirement) instead of BMR. From the number your EER ends up being, give yourself a 200-300 calorie range. Example: If your EER is 2000, it's okay to allow yourself up to 2200-2300 (if you're maintaining).
