Aerosmith 1976 at the Boston Garden. Still have my ticket stub which I paid $6.50 for.

Wow!! So cool. I saw them once, probably ten or so years ago...paid a lot more than that!

When I was 7 or 8 my parents took me to the Indiana State Fair to see Olivia Newton-John in the mid 70's
First concert with friends was REO Speedwagon on New Year's Eve 1982 when I was 15.

My first proper concert was Smashing Pumpkins in 1993, but I went to the Reading Festival earlier that year and saw Bad Brains, Tool, Babes in Toyland and Porno For Pyros. I refuse to count various radio roadshows that I attended in previous years, where every act mimed and the acts were too crap to mention.

First concert I attended was That Damn Show in 99 or 98 i believe. Deftones and Kid Rock were the headliners. My most remembered concert was Ozzfest 2000. I was a rocker then but not so much now. Ozzfests were the best concerts ever.

    2000
    Ozzy Osbourne
    Pantera
    Godsmack
    Static-X
    Incubus
    Methods of Mayhem
    P.O.D.
    Queens of the Stone Age
    Soulfly
    Kittie
    Disturbed
    Taproot
    Slaves on Dope
    Reveille
    Shuvel
    Primer 55
    Apartment 26
    Deadlights
    Pitchshifter
    Black Label Society

Rush - Way back in '84. We had 3rd row seats. I had listened to Rush before except Tom Sawyer when it came on the radio. My uncle won 3rd row tickets of the radio and took me. Been a huge fan of Rush ever since.

Here's a tough confession: I just remembered my real first concert was not Green Day. It was Weird Al at some state fair when I was quite young.

I wish my first concert was BOC. Go, go, godzilla!
  • What was the first music concert you ever went to?

Mine was Nine Inch Nails back in 98.

    I'm jealous.
Mine was .....Brittany spears. 2002-3 I think. IDK. My uncle wanted to go so he bought us all tickets. I was 12-13 at the time so it seemed exciting. I have been dying to see NIN!

The Bangles, part of a 'rising star' concert series in Spokane, WA in 1986. The opening act was some band no one I knew had heard of called EIEIO (like old mcdonald). They're apparently still around. I didn't like them at the time, but I was 17 and hadn't developed musically, so they may be some quirky awesomeness.

Alice Cooper 1971. I was 7! Compliments of my big brother. Unfortunately I can't remember who opened for them...I'll have to check out the ticket stub.

The Who - 1980, Kemper Arena in Kansas City, MO.

I've seen NIN and Slayer since, though!

    I miss concerts at Kemper!

I wasn't allowed to go to concerts growing up, so my first one wasn't until I went to college. Monster of Rock 1992 at Arrowhead stadium, featuring Body Count, Guns N Roses. and Metallica.

Creedence Clearwater Revival at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto in September 1970. Booker T & The MGs were also on the bill.

And I also saw BOC in around 1973. They were the first band I saw that had a laser light show.
