I'm not a woman, but I burn 300 on average. :P
I can't believe your heart rate monitor says 130-150 on a GOOD day. You bust your *kitten* during these things!!0 -
I do around low 200 on speed (not counting cooldown) Yesterday was 225, another day 190. I give it my all, but my heart rate is lower now in my fitness journey (started last March) than it was was when I started last year doing similar workouts. My doctor says that is a good thing, she said the better shape you are, the less your heart has to work and I noticed my heart rate drops faster when I stop. I try to hold on to those things too and not just the scale.
I was reading this when I was getting frustrating with numbers before I had my doctor visit:
"As you exercise, your body uses up energy at a greater rate than at rest. To keep up with the energy needs, your body increases your heart rate to make both oxygen and nutrients more readily available to the cells to create new energy. With regular exercise, the increase in heart rate strengthens the heart muscle. A stronger heart muscle means your body does not have to work as hard to pump blood throughout your cardiovascular system. This increase in efficiency results in a lower heart rate both at rest and during exercise"
The weight workouts are lower because although I am working hard, it's not cardio. Building muscle is so good though for women, not just men.
A lot depends on your age, sex, weight, and just what shape you are in and everyone is different. Maybe a different monitor would be a different number but I'd rather err on the lighter side to keep my calories in check. I am enjoying lower blood pressure, cholesterol is low, resting pulse and I don't want to lose track of the inside health vs the outside.0
