Does being in shape decrease duration of injury?

Hey guys.. I know that strength and flexanility can reduce risk of injury by 70% but, what about when you do get injured, does it reduce the duration of the injury? Yes I'm sure it depends on the injury.. That's a no brainier, but a small pulled muscle, for someone starting out, may take a week or two to heal, if they have been diligent in strength training and yoga, might it be less time for them? Logically I'm thinking so, but I'm having trouble finding literature to back it up.. I'm thinking maybe someone here has read something or experienced this..

A small muscle tear (= a "pulled muscle") normally takes that long to heal. I don't think being in shape changes that very much. If anything, active people often try to remain active while injured, and that can delay healing or worsen the injury. Speaking from experience here. :sick:0
