In a recent forum i asked a question and someone mentioned "primative diet". this lead me to do some research, upon which i read about "THE PALEO DIET"

I am very intrigued with the many sites and stories I read. Granted, I'd prob only do it 90%. (I love peanut butter!) but if its worth trying I will!

Thoughts?

    Lani,

Do you have a link for this diet? I'd be interested in it too! Why go it alone when we can team up :-)

I've known this diet as the primitive diet and tried a version of it to weed out allergy foods. Just got down to the very basic foods.

But as a long term diet, I think Lucky is right. It's a fad and unnecessary. Unless you have extreme food allergies.

What I learned from my time on it was that I am best without yeast. If I can stay away from yeast and sugars and stick to whole foods, veggies and rice, I'm better off.

Once I learn this, I added foods back in.

Fad Diet? Well maybe I'll sit this one out. I thought it this was just another version of eating clean.

I'm doing the Paleo diet, but moreso as a lifestyle change. I don't see it as a fad at all. In fact, anyone who talks to me about it has been eating accordingly for one year or more...

It's not easy to give up grains, dairy, and sugar, but I believe the substitute of veggies and fruits is beneficial and completely doable with discipline and creativity. :-)
