Avoiding the use of peanuts.

I have at hand, chocolate protein powder, bananas, porridge oats, probably some honey knocking around and likely some other stuff lurking in the cupboard...

Go!

    1 scoop (30 g) protein powder
    1 banana (roughly 100 g)
    2 TBSP coconut flour (14 g)
    1 egg
1/4 cup milk of choice (I use sweetened almond milk)

Blend in blender and make some pancakes.

High protein, high fiber, totally delish.

Mix em up in a rather thick batter and bake as pancakes
    or
Mix em up in a slightly runny batter and bake in the oven (180C for 25 - 45 minutes depending on the mold size and other variables).
    or
Mix em up in a batter with a consistency in between the previous two and nuke it in the microwave for 5 minutes

    - Consider throwing in an extra egg
    - Consider topping it off with peanut butter :OMG:
    - ADD CINNAMON!
    - Be creative.

Play with the ratio of ingredients to create a desired batter and keep track of your macro's ;)

    3 oz. plain greek yogurt
1 scoop either Trutein Cinnabun or Pumpkin Pie powder
    butter for the pan (optional)

I posted a recipe yesterday for high protein waffles. Just cook them as pancakes instead.

I personally like these you can't taste the cottage cheese at all (at least I can't). 4 ingredients: 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 tsp of Vanilla & 4 egg whites. I put in a dash of cinnamon too. Usually makes 6-8 pancakes depending how big you make them.

337 Calories and 31 grams of Protein.

    Pancakes pancakes everywhere!

    Flapjacks!

I'm guessing I can throw some powder into a bowl, throw in some oats, and something to bind it, maybe honey... Mix it up, shove it in a dish, squish it down with rolling pin, fridge, cut into portions...
    Something like that?

I know of a handful of things to be absolutely true in this life.

    The sky is blue.

    The grass is green.

    The sun will rise.

And they are called PANCAKES, not flapjacks.

Use almond butter instead of peanut butter? Or almond flour. Do you just hate peanut butter or do you have an allergy?

  • I always add cottage cheese to my pancakes and to my waffles when I make them from scratch. I know this isn't a recipe, but its a great way to add protein!
