What is the best way to rid of cellulite?

Im not looking for magic lotions or things of that nature. Summer is coming and I have lost 40 pounds, I know cellulite is from excess fat in my thighs and butt but how do I get rid of it? Is the best practice heavy lifting, more cardio, or is it all about diet and clean eatting? I know I still need to loose more weight I am not concerned on how to do that more on just how to fine tune my program to help me achieve this specific goal. I eat roughly 1200 cals a day should I concentrate more on making the foods I intake clean to reduce cellulite, or is it more about lifting and cardio?

Explosive exercises. Not too many female sprinters or power lifters with cellulite.

It's very difficult - but lots and lots of water, and eating fairly "clean" seem to be the best bet.

I can't tell if you're serious or not.

ETA: It's debatable as to whether or not you can 'get rid' of cellulite, due to the fact it's caused by the connective tissue under the skin, and is probably genetic. Some people use a coffee scrub or dry brushing, but it should become less visible as BF% decreases.

I have heard weight lifting is a good way to tone, and that women don't do it enough because we are intimidated by all the "stuff" in the weight room. They stay to start with 5 pound barbells for arms and to get someone to help you with lower body weights. I think that is really supposed to help you tone cellulite.

There is no magic formula unfortunately.

I used to do a lot of sprinting and had cellulite. I have done weights in the past and had cellulite. Lost weight in the past had cellulite. Weighed 98lbs, 5'5" tall at aged 13, I had cellulite.

Ironically, I am now 53 years old, weigh 144lbs at just under 5' 8" tall and have no cellulite - I do a lot of long distance running, however, I have also gone through the menopause - what eventually made it disappear, I have absolutely no idea. It could be the running, hormonal changes having gone through the change or something unknown.

Don't however, waste money on creams, personally, I found they have never worked in the past.

I have never successfully fully rid myself of it but years of cardio including running did nothing compared to power class (a weight lifting class) and specifically deadlifts and weighted lunges. Everyone says wide squats also but I noticed the most change when we did 5-6 weeks more focused on weighted lunges - although we always squat ofc :) So last spring I was really progressing and actually wore SHORTS! Maybe with enough time more of it will go away
  • The best way is a combination of managing your diet, doing the right exercises and some sort of scrubbing/massage to break it down. Resistance exercises like squats, lunges and doing sit ups and some pilates type exercises are really good.

Full-body strength training, doing compound exercises, using heavy weight. That's your best chance at balancing the hormones responsible for cellulite.
