So I just completed Stage 1 yesterday and after reading the book, it requires me to do 2 special workouts which are as many reps as possible to see how far ive come. Do I need to do these, If i do them using the weight I started with, its not going to be particularly challenging as its lighter weights but more reps. Can I just move on to the next stage or should I do it?

You don't have to do them, that is why they are bonus workouts.
I did them though, as it was a nice little switch up in between Stage 1 and Stage 2. You don't do that again until much later in the stages, stage 6 I think is the next time you do an AMRAP workout. Plus I liked seeing how many reps I could do at my starting weight after 8 weeks of progressive weight increase.0 -
Do them...it is really amazing to see how far you have progressed:)0

You don't have to do them. I think what Lou/Alwyn are trying to do is to instill confidence by showing you (generic you) that you've made some (hopefully) significant progress in a relatively short amount of time - so that, even if you aren't seeing HYOOGE results in the scale/mirror, you definitely have results to show for your hard work.
But, you seem to already know that you've made good progress. Do them if you want, or just go ahead to Stage 2. In either case, good job on getting through Stage 1 and sticking with it.0
