Recalculation of calories

I thought that MyFitnessPal would we calculate calories every 10 pounds. It did not do so automatically for me. What I found is that if you going to settings and fitness goals- then click on lifestyle and change it from say sedentary to moderately active and then back to sedentary -it recalculates your calories down. Anyone else find you have to do it manually?

Nope every ten lbs I lose it asks me to re-evaluate my goals.0

Mine has never asked me to re-evaluate my goals, sadly. I manually set my goals anyways, otherwise it automatically tells me to eat no more than 1200 cals/day and then I feel like I might die0

i had to recalculate my calories manually, and it helped me out of my plateau! TBH i didn't know it was supposed to do it for me, I just figured the reason i wasn't losing anymore weight was because i was having too many calories.0

yes, it only ever prompts you to re-run the goal setting it isn't automatic.0 -
So is there a setting where it automatically recalculates?0

I found a answer on the help part of this web site.
Here it is
First, log in to our website at www.myfitnesspal.com. Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app.
Once you've logged in, click "My Home" then "Goals" then "Change Goals" then "Guided" then "Continue"
Make sure your Current Weight is correct, then click "Update Profile." This will calculate a new Net Calorie goal based on your current weight.
Doesn't answer the automatic part of my question yet it does recalculate. I just did it and it lowered me 10 more calories. Be careful what you ask for you may get it. ????
I also emailed the app people the question. I will let u know once they respond. Hopefully this will help someone else with the same question.0 -
I believe MFP will automatically ask you if you want to recalculate your goals if you originally allowed them to calculate your calorie goal. I think you still have to click something to allow them to recalculate - but they offer.
If you set your calorie goal manually, MFP will not ask if you want to recalculate. You set your own goal, and now you're on your own. You would have to keep on top of whether your current goal is working for you.0
