Exercise or rest with head cold?

The last few days I've started to struggle with a sore throat, and as of yesterday, it has blossomed into a head cold, with runny nose galore. I normally work out 5-6 days a week, (3 x weights, 2-3 x cardio). This morning was meant to be a cardio - I had planned to attempt some hill runs - but when I woke up, I just couldn't bear the thought of going out and running.
I know I haven't had an exercise break for a while so I've been pushing it a little hard, but I've also increased my food intake since I'm at home now and have been baking (a lot!) so I'm trying to make sure my net calorie intake is ok.
I guess my question is - should you exercise or rest when you have a head cold?

Great article here from one of the best training coaches in the U.S.....

I just went through it myself (influenza Type A) which knocked me on my backside. Took 5 days off and very slowly followed the steps in that article to work myself back into things. It's been 3 weeks since I got sick, and I am just about back into the fulf swing of things exercise wise.0
