So I am getting back on track and have I just ate a bagel topped with tuna and a small amount of cream cheese. Plenty of protein in it with a bottle of water.

Why am I still hungry?

    I woke up late--around 10 and had lunch at 12 so I don't think so. =/

Try filling up on water and do something active so you won't think about it :)

If you're still hungry in an hour, snag a healthy snack!

Add some healthy fat and fibre to your meal (i.e. a tblsp of peanut butter and an apple or hummus and carrots), try and have whole grain bagels as well (if it wasn't already). It's not ALL about protein :)

Its difficult to see because you didn't book yesterday. What happened yesterday ? If you cut right back or did a lot of exercise then all the food would be sucked up into your muscle straight away.

How much sugar was in the bagel as well ? It could be a combination.

My understanding - your body stores carbs as glycogen in your muscle.
If you fast then this gets depleted
If you then eat the food, particularly the carbs will get sucked up into you muscle
If there is sugar about at the time and you are a little sugar sensitive then the sugar could give you a bit of an insulin spike. On top of the muscle sucking up the carb which would cause your blood sugar to crash. This gets interpreted by your brain as feeing hungry.

Good luck, its all a learning process and you will eventually work out what causes your body to behave like this

Every person is different. I used to have that hunger after eating similar to what you mentioned. Only it was a bagel and cream cheese. The problem is the bagel. It is carbs and unnecessary. If you like eggs, keep hard-boiled eggs in your fridge for a quick snack or make deviled eggs:) The tuna on its own is fine; it's that bagel. The bad carb will get you every time. It's like when one has pizza, then they want ice cream after. Then you wake up with a pizza/ice cream hangover;)
