NSV Type Goals

While weight loss is defintely my ultimate goal, I get bored just going for numbers all the time. "Oh, I dropped 10 pounds. Now it's time to go for 20. Now 30 . . . " Blah blah blah.

So what are some of your Non-Scale related goals? I currently have a pair of jeans that I bought (several years ago!) for something like $3 that I KNEW at the time didn't fit, but I loved them so much I bought them anyway, thinking maybe, eventually . . . Anyway, those jeans are my first BIG goal. They're about 2 sizes down, so I have a ways to go, but I can't wait.

I'm also building to 5 days of (intense) exercise a week, rather than my two days, plus some light weights/cardio that barely count.
I gave up fast food for Lent, even though I'm not Catholic. I want to go the whole 40 days without hitting the drive through.

So give me some other fun ideas- long term or short term, goals and inspirations!

I want to be able to do a "real" pull-up by the end of the year.

I've already hit a lot of my initial NSV-type goals. My main one was that I wanted my NorthFace jacket to fit over my hips! I've always been self-conscious of wearing it zipped up because it never fit my hips & would end up riding up in the back because it didn't fit properly. Just this week I zipped it up for the first time [I had just stopped zipping it because it annoyed me] & found that I can pull it all the way down over my hips! Woohoo!

Moral of the story is: I need some new NSV goals. I don't really have any clothes in my closet that are several sizes too small - I've been pretty good over the years [I've moved a lot] at getting rid of things I don't wear or that don't fit me. So anything I had that was a little tight fits really well now, but soon I'll have no clothes to wear. Hmm. Maybe I should buy a pair of jeans at a thrift store that are a size down or something just so I have some motivation & something to get excited about in a few weeks!

I wanted to be able to:
*walk around without my back hurting.
*Stand and talk to someone without my back hurting
*sit in a seat on a plane without needing a seatbelt extender or "spilling over" into the next seat
*not have the steering wheel rub my belly when driving
*go to a theme park with my kids and be able to keep up
*sit in a booth at a restaurant comfortably

These things I've done and still want to be able to keep doing. Here are either new things or things that have been added to the list:
*go to theme park with kids in 2016 and be able to go swimming with the kids
*go shopping in a "normal person sized" store

I want to be able to go on a 2 mile run with my son. Maybe, eventually, I can do the 8 mile circuit he likes to do.

I have 3 pair of jeans and some shorts that I want to be able to wear again...I don't have much weight to lose but I'm more focused on how my clothes feel than the number on the scale. I want to feel good in my clothes again.

I'd love to be able to do at least one unassisted pull up and chin up. I've never seen a girl do them at my gym so I want to be the first:)
