How to reduce my appetite

Most days I have an insatiable appetite and am always hungry. Of course my preference is junk food over celery!! How can I turned this around?

    appetite <>hunger.....

but saying that how many calories are you consuming a day?
  • Make sure you are eating enough, good foods to stave off cravings. Letting yourself get hungry will make you crave junk! Filling up on whole foods like fruits and complex carbs help keep binges at bay :)

It might help to see how you are feeling at the time the hunger comes too. I get "hungry" when I am bored- that sort of thing. Sometimes thinking about the differences between emotional hunger and actual hunger helps.

Eat quality protein, eat fat. Celery won't do much for hunger unless you put some peanut butter on it.

Eating is a good way to reduce your appetite. Eating the right choices will ensure its delayed return.
  • Eating about 2000 - 2500 calories a day. Should be more like 1400

    Very simply stated!
Stop eating junk, eat more whole, real foods.

What do you typically eat? You'll get a ton of good suggestions if you open up your diary for a little while.

For myself, I have trigger foods. I love bread. I have been really limiting the bread I eat. I could have had 10 pieces of toast a day and still wanted more.
Anyway, I have mostly removed bread from my diet, because this is my trigger. With doing that, my hungry all the time has subsided and some times I need to up my calories to hit daily target.
I am eating way more fruits and veggies than ever and am a lot less hungry.
