Logging home made chicken stock

In the next couple of days (or today, depending on if I decide to head on to the store and pick off the meat) I'll be trying my hand at making a batch of chicken stock. I've got a rotisserie chicken that I'll use once I've cleaned it off, plus onion and garlic. All the recipes I've seen call for celery and carrots, so I need to get that, plus something to strain the result with.

But anyway, how do you log something like this? I mean, you take out all of the solid ingredients and strain off/scrape away most of the fat that it results in. I'll probably be using it to cook pasta or rice, and I'm thinking of storing it in one or two cup portions frozen flat in the freezer to make the logging thing easier.

Have you looked in the MFP Database? There are plenty of options to choose from. Perhaps the "chicken bone broth-homemade" will work for your purposes?

I haven't looked, to be honest. When I make my own stuff I like inputting my own recipe whenever possible. I was just hoping someone might have a tip on how to put it in for an accurate result. I'll probably end up using one already up, but the database can be...shall I say...inaccurate.

Just use the database. It is chicken stock, we are talking like 25 calories for a one cup measure. It isn't like trying to figure out the calories in a slab of homemade cake.
