Spaghetti sauce alternative - low sodium

Pasta itself will fit in my diet, but for a sauce, I don't have a problem with the calories, fat, protein, carbs, but the sodium content is crazy. I don't know too many folks that eat spaghetti with 1/4 cup of sauce (which can be 400-500mg of sodium per 1/4 cup), so if you use 1/2 cup or even 3/4 of a cup, that's obviously waaay too much.
What are some alternatives to a spaghetti/pasta sauce that are LOW SODIUM (or even no sodium)?
PS - Those 'low sodium' sauces are generally 280-340mg - not much of a difference, but granted, it is better then the 'normal' stuff.

sauce is easy to make..make your own and that way you control the amount of sodium0

That's what I was asking - If folks had some recipes for home made sauce or a reasonable facsimile of.
I don't want to get into an elaborate concoction of having to cook or saute' things, just something folks throw together on the fly and go...0 -
Make your own or buy the one with no added sodium (which I don't like at all, lol, because of its lack of sodium).0

If you feel like going the easy route, grab a large can of tomatoes (no sodium added), toss them in a crockpot with whatever diced veggies you'd like. If you are feeling more adventurous, buy tomatoes, skin them and seed them. Let them simmer on low all day and when you get home, break the tomatoes up and add seasonings.
When you are used to the canned sauces, it's hard when going lower sodium, but I make my own sauce and it's so good. Last time I made it, I added eggplant and garlic.0 -
I mix tomatoes and pesto in the blender, then heat on the stove. I sometimes add a little cornstarch to thicken.
Meanwhile, I will sauté onions, peppers, spinach and zucchini, and mix into the sauce.0
