General Weight Lifting

I just had a question for someone with a little bit of weight lifting knowledge!
Which is better? Lifting less times more weight, or more weight less times?
Ex: Is it better to lift 50 lbs for 3 reps of 10 or 30 lbs for 3 reps of 30?
To be more specific, I am doing tricep and bicep curls.
Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

Sets of 30 is pretty much cardio. I think between 4 and 10 is generally recommended.
Are you ONLY doing biceps and triceps? What about the rest of the body? Biceps and triceps are very small muscles. What about back, legs, chest, shoulders, etc?
I'd recommend this program:

Depends on goals.
To build and grow muscle i do heavier weight with lower reps. average of 5-8 max
if you are aiming for more of an endurance lift/cardio then 10-12
though if i need cardio i go do cardio and lift heavy when i want to lift weights0 -
more weight less times.
ditto on the strong lifts as a suggestion0
