Hi everyone.. I am 30 and have a few extra pounds.. ( 160) I am on day 5 of exercising and eating better but I feel like I am just winging it because I don't really know which exercises I should be doing. I am focused on cardio mainly. I had a collapsed lung in August and had part of the lung removed, I don't feel like I have fully bounced back which is why I am looking to increase my cardio and maybe drop a few pounds in the process. Any and all tips are appreciated !!! As of now I do 30 min on the elliptical .

I would just get out and walk. your body will tell you when it's time to run. I have a fancy pants elliptical that I have logged 0 min on. hahah. I run 4 miles 4 times a week and walk 4 miles 5 days a week.

when I started, I couldn't make it to the end of my block.

    Hi there!

I did something similar to whats on the below link - only do what you can though.

I also bought a skipping rope, its fun and helps with my cardio and of course swimming (at your own pace) is great.

I'm a big believer in getting outdoors when you can - its so hard with our lifestyles but I find that my cardio improves so much more when I can run around outside... it could just be my silly brain ;)
