Hi friends. I am jenny. Serious about loosing weight. I have exactly around 40 pounds to loose. I been going to the gym for five weeks now. Going at my own pace. Yesterday I tried the elliptical machine and lasted only 5 minutes IF THAT!!!
OMG IS IT ME???
I see girls do the elliptical like crazy for am hour.
So it seems the elliptical is a good machine how should I start and how often?
I do the the treadmill at a incline of 9.0 speed 3.0 for 50 minutes at least five times a week. How would I incorporate the elliptical in this????
Sorry I am so lost and need help.

Not really a big elliptical fan. I use to do it when I thought my knees were to bad for running. I started very slow into running and now do six miles most days. I can tell you it is a much better workout. If you must do elliptical than I would do five minutes today and increase it by two minutes each day. You will be up there in no time!0

It's a very different way of moving and feels unnatural at first. My first time on one I almost fell off and could only keep at it for 10 minutes before I thought I was going to die. You'll get used to it, but it will just take a little time. :-)0

Some of my friends have been using the elliptical. At first, they could only do about 5 minutes as well. Now they are up to 30 minutes and 45 minutes. Keep at it. Go as long as you can and it will gradually get better. Great workout!0
