I'm trying to get back on the good end of the yo-yo right now, I could really use some serious accountability too. I've been trying to do Atkins on and off for about two months now but just can't seem to get motivated. I would love to find some like minded people on here to give me a kick in the butt every now and again. You can add me too

I don't need external motivation. The pain in my back and hip is motivation enough. I'm pretty laid back about my journey and don't get stressed out easily because I know this really is a journey. I'm here a 2nd time around, too. My tracker doesn't tell my full story. My first time around, I lost 25 or so pounds in about 35 or 40 days, was happy with that, would have been happy with more, but *excuse* *excuse* *excuse* happened (details really don't matter because they're just excuses) and I'm heavier now than I was then. I'm rehabbing through knee and back injuries, so my exercise regimen is pretty light weight/simplistic right now, mostly just housework, stretching, and my physical therapy exercises. Between that and calorie deficit, I've lost 14 pounds in the last 45 days and expect another loss when I weigh in today. The friends I've brought to MFP, and a few that I've met here, seem to think I give pretty good advice. Since I'm an IIFYMer, I don't say things like, "Why the hell did you eat that?" I'm more likely to say, "Looks like you're gonna need to Zumba THAT off, today." ...or something similar. I do NOT believe in removing whole food groups or desserts from your life. If you do that, you'll get a craving and totally binge on it at some point. Then, you'll probably feel guilty over it (guilt/stress is probably more detrimental to this new lifestyle and weight loss than the "naughty" thing you ate), eat more, and get derailed. I'm not into that. If you want sweets, portion it out, plan for it in your food diary, exercise enough to allow for the treat, and eat it if you want to.

Anyway, that's the kind of attitude I have with all of this. If you want to add me, go ahead. Just know, I do call bull**** when I see an excuse.
