I am over my calories for the day...

with about 1700? I'm girl, 19 years old (52kg/165cm) I usually eat very healthy, 1200 calories a day (+4 times a week, workouts) but today I did let myself go, I ate all kind of crap that I haven't eaten in so long time, like waffers/chocolates and stuff. It was bad, and now I'm bloated and I'm sooo scared that I'm going to gain weight... :(

Where did you get the idea that 1200 calories was enough for a 19-year-old active girl? I think perhaps your perception is skewed if you think think 1700 calories and "all kinds of crap" belong in the same sentence.

I suggest your recalculate how many calories you should be eating for your height, weight and age. Absolutely include small treats, like chocolate, every day.

Quit using the word "bad" to describe either food or yourself.

It's one day. No big deal.

How did you settle on 1200 cal per day? Based on current weight and your activity level, it looks a bit low.

No big deal.. besides on your activity level + that amount of calories a day you'd end up as a skeleton by summer.

Your body will thank you for it. 1200 calories a day is not enough. I am 5'8 and weigh 57kgs so I'm in a similar position to you, and I eat around 2200 calories a day to maintain; more if I've worked out more intensely than usual (e.g a race or training with the men at work and getting competitive  ) You would burn more than 1200 calories if you were lying in a coma, let alone being up and about living your life and working out.

I have done the 1200 calorie thing myself, I know how it feels, and I only started getting the body I wanted when I started eating more. It wasn't easy for me to change my mindset, only when I saw the results did I stop freaking out so much.

Please don't beat yourself up :flowerforyou:

1700 calories may not be HUGE but it can still be 'all kinds of crap'

Having a day here and there of 500 extra calories won't do you any harm at all. It's when the 500 calories becomes 2000 calories and "here and there" becomes every second day that things really start blowing up.

Thank you, guys... I will reconsider the calorie amount I usually take. And I just don't want to go back to my bad habits of eating junk food...

Have a look at the calculator on the "If It Fits Your Macros" website, and try not to panic when you start eating more. As long as it is the right foods, you will be fine. You don't need to lose weight with the numbers you gave earlier, but if you are unhappy with your body shape your nutrition is key. I am still finding this out after years of undereating. Occasional naughty (but yummy!) foods will not hurt you either. Good luck x
