Mini NSV time :)

TWO MINI NSV'S IN ONE NIGHT!

#1: My family brought cookie dough (my all time favorite treat), ice cream and pop tarts. Usually when this happens, I fill up a bowl right away and regret it later (and usually fall off the band wagon the next day.) I'm so proud because my entire family has been eating those sweets but I have resisted and honestly, I'm not even interested! I don't have the slightest craving and I have literally never been able to say that before! :)

#2: I had dinner at around 7:00 p.m and decided that I wouldn't have a late night snack so that I wouldn't eat back my exercise calories. My friend came over at 9:00 p.m and was hungry so I made her food. Usually when I do that, I cook myself something too even if I'm not the slightest bit hungry. I made her the food she wanted and sat with her while she ate but I didn't eat anything, nor did I want anything to eat because I knew I wasn't truly hungry!

I'm sorry, I know those are small things but those are huge steps for me and I just wanted to share!!

Have a lovely night everyone!! :)

It may sound like a small thing. However, those are 2 huge victories. You victory is not small at all because you conquered your will for food and exchanged it for transforming weigh loss success. Many congratulations to you. I recommend you make yourself a sign and stick to the fridge. Your whole household should know that you just ran a mental marathon and won. Hugs,

Reminds me of the saying - " A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step" Congratulations on your steps.

Thank you both! :) I will most definitely have to make a sign for the fridge (and especially for the cookie dough container!) And I absolutely love that saying! That makes me feel even better about it! :)

That is AMAZING! I'm a sucker for my taste buds. Even stuffed, if it tastes good, I want to eat it. My hubby got me a bowl of ice cream 2 nights ago, and it was too much. I ate HALF of it. I wanted it all. At lunch yesterday, I ate only half my turkey sub, and saved the other half for dinner. I know they don't seem like big things, but, baby - they ARE! So good for you! And keep it up :-)

Right?! I could have just eaten enough to fill an army but there always seems to be room for cravings! Great job on eating halfsies on the ice cream and saving the sub for later (I usually only buy half a sub because I know I'll want to eat it all if I don't 0 especially subway!) You keep it up too! These small steps count for a lifetime! :)

Thank you so much! It's hard but one day you'll wake up and not have a single craving but something fresh for breakfast! Good luck! :)

If you keep up the diet, one day you will fall into the temptation trap. You will eat some old favorite snack and as soon and you finish or maybe even while eating it you will realize you no longer care for it and or it makes you feel ill.

This will be a huge tipping point for you.

There is no such thing as a mini NSV. A victory is a victory and should be celebrated. Woohoo!!!!! Congrats!

I remember the first time I went out with friends without eating the bread they bring to the table, and I was overjoyed with myself. Does it mean I no longer eat bread? Absolutely not! It means I control what I eat, why I eat it, when I eat it, and how much of it I want to eat. Food no longer controls me. Sounds like you're moving in that same direction. Good for you!

I'm loving this topic! I'm right there with you! When you can choose not to eat things that you previously would have binged on, you have made a big change. It's exciting when food no longer controls us! I used to be a chocoholic. I couldn't buy a bag of Hersheys fun size bars or I would eat THE WHOLE BAG - IMMEDIATELY! I picked up a couple of fun size bars the other day at a business and put them in my purse. I ate one with dinner, and really didn't taste great. I just left the other on the table. The biggest NSV - I crave oranges and apples instead of candy, cookies, and chips. We're on our way!
