I would love to trim my waist. Does anyone have a exercise that would help. Also one for my belly that I dont have to do crunches.

You can't spot reduce; reducing your body fat overall will eventually result in a trimmer waist.
  • If you like the idea of heavy lifting, I find that dead lifting and squats are such an awesome way to work all the muscles in the middle of the body. At the moment, I believe that if I maintain my weight and build bigger muscles in my upper body, that will trim my waist a little. Belly dancing must strengthen the obliques at first because I have significant DOMS after a class. None of the mentioned exercises are going to trim my waist though, unless I have a calorie deficit. You can trim your waist without any exercise at all if you have a deficit.

My favorite exercise for trimming the waist is the "Put down the cake". Works like a dream :-)

You can't spot reduce like someone already mentioned, but I love the way squats, deadlifts, and especially side bends with heavy dumbbells make my waist FEEL.
