Ive been doing daily counting for years now and just recently started weekly. I know both ways should technically work the same way but I was wanted to clear up some things. so if i set my weekly calories at around 9100 calories, would it be alright if i go over by a lot some days and go below 1200 calories on other days? or would eating very little on some days still be harmful even when I'm maintaining my some what healthy weekly intake?

Technically, it's the end week average that counts, but I would not go below 1,200 on any day, especially when exercising.

Why would you set your calorie goals at 1,300 calories a day? If you have little to lose, you need to lose it at .5 pounds a week, and if you have a lot to lose, you are safe to start out at 2 pounds a week, but both instances would most likely render more than 1,300 a day. If you have more than a little and less than a lot (40 pounds, say) you can set your goals to lose 1-1.5 pounds a week.

Have you set up your weight loss goals in MFP?

Do you exercise? if so, and you use the MFP method for figuring out calories, you must eat those exercise calories back because your deficit is already built in. You want to make sure to properly fuel your body.

Yes you can, but if you're working out, it'll probably be a lot more difficult if you're on a greater deficit (i.e. lower or no carbs) to compensate for the previous day
