Hi All,
I've been lurking here for 3 plus weeks now, and these posts have been a real motivator for me. I figured it was time to join in. As you'll see from my progress, in terms of llbs lost there is none really made (well, I know I've lost about 4llbs, but I screwed up with the weight tracker when I signed up -- something about being scared of actually weighing myself so under-guestimating how much I weighed in the first place, ehem....:-/).
But I'm hanging in there.
I'm more than hanging in there, actually. I am doing really well. More here for anyone just joined and struggling like I have been:

Never fear, we have all been there and some still there. As for tracker, you can go back and change that any time.0

well congratulations on your 4 lbs.. even though you may think it is small it is an accomplishment. When I first started in December trying to loose those college pounds I was trying to get to my goal as fast as possible. I soon realized that I was missing out on a lot of fun. I would avoid social gatherings because I knew they would serve food and I knew I could not eat them. but, when I realized that I needed to take all the small steps that I have accomplished and celebrate them. It made the process of loosing weight not so hard. I realized that I had to take one baby step at a time and each step made me closer to my end goal. I also recently found a really cool cook book. It used to be a TV show on Lifetime but it is called cook yourself thin. It takes food that we all love from appetizers to deserts and makes them with more spices and veggies as substitutes for the high cal ingredients. I have loved it. It takes the diet food out of dieting. I hope that you continue on your journey celebrating every baby step. God Bless !0
