As we all know, most info in the food database is correct, but a few that members have placed in have some incorrect data. Most foods have the labels we can check with, but for those foods you would like to double check that do not have the label, there is always the USDA Database.

Thanks for that. I'm finding quite a few descrepencies with raw meat/fish/chicken so am having to rely on labels IF the data is given.

Hmmm! Just tried to find plaice in the USDA and it isnt there....lol.....do you not eat plaice in America?? It's a flat fish.....

    All the best :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks. I'll be bookmarking this link. I usually try to check a few of the entries for a particular item when I don't have a label. I'm able to get an average and will normally go with one that is a little higher to be safe. It'll be nice to have this for reference.
