I have a question, looking for opinions....

Is it completely egotistical/pompous/narcissistic/pretentious/conceited to charge someone hourly to have a conversation with you? Or is that just something that should be accepted by someone in a professional situation, like a consultation fee?

I only ask because someone whom I've known for a few years has recently started advertising that if you'd like to have a conversation with her on any topic you'd like and "pick her brain" that you can set up an appointment to do so for a charge of almost $100/hr.

Now I feel like if I talk to her at all she's gonna send me a fricken invoice :-( I really like & respect this woman, she has taught me a lot in the last few years, so I really don't want to be having negative thoughts around this. But I can't help but think that what she's doing goes against some of my core values.
