Good morning, my name is Mary and I'm a new member. I joined maybe about a month or so ago. I do see some changes but, I would like to see more. I lost 52 lbs in 06 and gained it all back over the past 3yrs. I am only 5'2 and need to lose about 75-100 lbs. It sounds far fetch but, doable. I went from 232 to 181 in 7 months and I need to make that happen again. Now I am back to 232 and is desperate to lose the weight. I will say, MFP has helped me with my eating habits because it makes it visible for you to see.

I am sure you have been told this before but, just loosing weight will never be of any use to us as we will always just gain it back. We have to make changes in our way of liviing that comfortable for us.

For me, it logging what I eat and do every day. Making simple changes in my lifestyle that I can live with and actually make it a natural thing.

We know we can do it if we really want it, go hang in there and set your goals. Just try and make those little life changes that will help you stay there when you reach home.
  • I'm short as well, 5"1' and I know how it is with looking even larger than you weigh because of stature. This site is GREAT helping with showing you how to watch your calories, but if your not already doing so, cut back on soda, even the diets. I am a Soda addict and I have realized that cutting back has helped so much. Exercising at least 20-30 minutes a day is important as well, every little bit helps. I try to get on the treadmill at least 20 minutes each day if i'm not already doing a workout dvd. Add me as a friend if you would like. I know all the support I have on here helps me keep going.
