It's great when you lose weight and can see your weight loss. I can't right now because I just gained back the 10# I lost last year. Blah.
I'm seriously in need of new motivation. I often look to what I can *see* that will help me. I've tried a diet jars...two jars with marbles for pounds lost/pounds gained, and I've written myself signs on the walls. They help for a while, but I am starting at square one again.... I feel so demotivated right now that I just feel I need something new to propel me a bit.
I gained back the 10 pounds I lost last year, so I 'm pretty bummed... I can take "before" photos too, but right now I don't have anything for the "after" so I am really looking for something I can look at every day and say "hey you DID it today." Maybe a calendar? Photos?
What's your favorite way to 'see' how you're doing? How do you motivate yourself? A chart of days you've really worked out? Signs on the fridge? Photos of yourself? A weight loss jar? Stickers?

I take progress photos every month.
In the beginning I did alot of fitness based goals, like walking 100 miles in a month. Other goals were to drop a pant size, drop a shirt size, lose 5 lbs, lose 10 lbs, etc. I basically chopped it up into small goals.
Also, don't think of 'how far you have to go' and instead think of 'how far you've come' etc.0 -
I could definitely start with a fitness goal that is just objective/number based. I have a very hard time thinking how far I've come when I've only gained weight back that I HAD lost before.0
