Regularity... or not... bowel habits buggered up

I recently had a few months off from working out and healthy eating, due to a month of illness and then Christmas. I have now been back to my usual intense exercise regime and mostly healthy diet for almost two months, but I notice that while I had superb bowel movements during my period of not working out and eating pretty much as I wished (within reason), since getting back on track, I skip entire days, and when I do go, well, it is, well, somewhat slushy.

Has anyone else hit this issue?
I find it insane that this becomes an issue when I am eating well and working out hard, rather than when I did virtually nothing.
