How is the meal plan for this program? Is it something I could work into a busy schedule that includes working full time, going to school full time, caring for my 2 young children and husband, etc....?

Are the meals ones that everyone would eat or will I find myself making myself one thing and everyone else something else?

Thoughts and experience would be great!! Thanks so much

Jenn

I have done the meal plan for P90X using both the portion approach as well as the planned out meals.

I have discovered that they will BOTH work if you follow them correctly.

I have also found out that for a busy schedule, the portion plan works better because you can choose your own foods as long as the portions add up to their guidelines.

Oh, and some of the planned out meals are not ones that I like. Some of those soups are just gross, IMHO. So portion plan it is, for me. :):):)

I don't know about the diet, lady, but I will tell you that I drank my first Shakeology yesterday (their version of a protein/nutrition shake) for breakfast, and I didn't feel hungry for 5 hours. Seriously! And that's amazing because I'm ALWAYS hungry. I wondered if it was a fluke but I had another today and it worked for 4 1/2 hours.

I'm starting Power 90 on Saturday - we'll see how well it holds out when I start the exercise program.

    Good luck! xo

Definitely not a fluke. :) People who never tried it before think it's all hype, but change their minds when they try it. I love it and have it everyday! Chocolate kind with almond milk. :)

I also have chocolate, I made it with a cup of soymilk, a spoon full of krema peanut butter and about 1/4 cup of frozen banana. It was very rich, so today I added about another half cup of water and it came out a lot better.

I'm not a fan of chocolate and Banana.....I know i"m crazy! LOL But I think the next time I'll make it with a bit more skim milk and some ice cubes. I think mine was too think as well.

I like to add peanut butter to chocolate Shakeology. I have also added cherries and almond extract. Strawberries is pretty good too.

But no matter what I do to it, I always start with crushed ice to make it more like a milkshake than just chocolate milk or something.

I don't normally have mine plain, either, and I certainly NEVER have it with water. Blech! :):):):):):):)

Hey, as long as you add enough water and ice, it's pretty yummy. :) I had it today though with pumpkin puree, soymilk, cinnamon, nutmeg, extra water, and ice and it was delicious! (Chocolate that is)

How much do these shakes cost? I visited the website and learned that they don't sell them in stores (I'm never crazy about that) and I couldn't find any information as to how much they cost, which to me was a bad sign.

I think to get a bag that has 30 scoops in it is over $100 on the website but you can find them a bit cheaper on ebay. You can also find individual packets of them off ebay to give them a try. That's where I found mine. Hope that helps

I found the P90X plan the easiest thing I have EVER followed. I did it by the portion approach, so let me know if you want more info on that. I have cheat sheets and more info about it if you are interested. :-)

Yup, it's like $100 for a month (1 shake a day) - pretty steep but it's the most filling shake I've ever tried so to me it's worth it. Definitely not cheap though :frown:
