How does your Tdee compare to what your fitbit says? I have a polar watch that I wear when exercising. I am just curious if it is worth they buy.

It depends on the setting I select for my calculations. If I set to 3-5 hours of moderate exercise (which is usually close), then it comes to ~3300. FB gives me a weekly average burn of ~3500. The difference is that FB is actually measuring my activity, so if I do 6 hours of exercise it's higher. If I do 3, it's lower. FWIW, an average day with no exercise other than ensuring I get 5,000 steps in during the workday is about 3100 calories.

I love my FB - I take my actual daily expenditure and base my eating on that. It feels a lot more accurate to me.

Wow! You must be extremely active. All of my calculations are anywhere between 2000-2300. Now I am thinking maybe I need a fitbit to see my actual numbers. Hmm.

I have the Ultra (now discontinued and replaced by the One). My calculated TDEE and the Fitbit average calories are pretty darned close. I love my Fitbit! There's just something about seeing those #'s...
