How do you upload a photo to a general post?

I am new here and I see a lot of people uploading photos right into the conversations/posts (like this one). How do you do it?

    hope this works

    bn_diva06.jpg

    capture the url by right click the picture then copy
    paste it between img] except no spaces

    you don't upload you link to an image hosted elsewhere [ IMG ] url.jpg [ / IMG ] without spaces
